During this course, we were challenged to create a concept showcasing how we will travel in 2050. This required a future-view approach, and we decided to design the travel agency of the future. To make it more personal, a travel agent was designated that led the user through an immersive experience using sounds and narration. The users were then asked to fill in the travel journal to document their inner travel.
This course showed me that having a future-view approach can enhance your project while allowing you to be more creative. Because you develop concepts that you can envision working on in the future, there are fewer limitations since your project will be partially based on assumptions of the future. During this course, I enjoyed the ideation part, in which we explored different directions before focusing on an immersive inner travel experience. I also learned that I like explorative research and that I would like to incorporate that in future projects, which I did.
